A New Year Message from the President

January 14, 2024

As we usher in the promising year of 2024, I am filled with gratitude and excitement as I enter my second year as the President of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. It is truly heartening to witness the continued growth and influence of our Chamber, and I attribute this success to the active participation and dedication of our esteemed members and supporters.

This year holds special significance for us as we anticipate celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Black Chamber of Commerce in July. Two decades of fostering and advancing the economic interest of our members through advocacy, education, information sharing, and resource brokering – a remarkable journey indeed.

As we set our sights on the future, I encourage each of you to both complete our strategic plan survey and embrace the spirit of the new year by adding two meaningful resolutions to your list. First and foremost, let’s prioritize our health. Kick off your journey to wellness by joining us at the 3rd Annual MLK5K and Divine Nine 5K Challenge on January 20th. This event not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also brings our community together to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Secondly, let’s commit to supporting Black-owned businesses throughout the year. An excellent opportunity to do this by attending the 12th Annual Ascension Awards on February 10th. This event not only recognizes the outstanding achievements of our entrepreneurs and supporters but also serves as a platform to network and strengthen the bonds within our business community.

Our Chamber’s success is a testament to the collective efforts of each member, and I am confident that together we will continue to foster economic growth and empowerment within our community. I am grateful for your unwavering support and dedication to the mission of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County.

As we embark on this new year and approach our milestone anniversary, let us reflect on our accomplishments, celebrate our growth, and look forward to a future filled with even greater achievements.

Wishing you all a prosperous and fulfilling 2024!

Joseph Sanches

President, BCCPBC
