Minority Mental Health Is Everyone’s Business
Recognizing Minority Mental Health Awareness Month
As we recognize Minority Mental Health Month, the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County reaffirms its commitment to raising awareness about the mental health challenges that disproportionately affect communities of color.
Why This Matters for Our Community
Mental wellness is essential to healthy families, strong businesses, and thriving communities. Yet barriers such as stigma, limited resources, financial strain, and healthcare inequities continue to prevent too many individuals from accessing the care they need.
When mental health is overlooked, the impact reaches beyond the individual — it affects households, workplaces, and the overall strength of our community.
Breaking the Silence
This July, we’re calling on our community to:
- Normalize conversations about mental health
- Support culturally responsive care
- Create environments where seeking help is encouraged, not stigmatized
Small shifts in how we talk about mental health can open the door for someone to get the support they deserve.
Join the Conversation
We invite our community to check in on one another — and to join us for an open, honest discussion on this important topic.
