Meet Our Expert: Sybille Canthal
“I am an Arts Administrator and Curator with 20+ years of experience developing, planning, and implementing diverse public art installations and exhibitions. As the Director of Arts, Culture, and Community Building for the City of West Palm Beach, I manage multi-budget projects, liaise between public and private sectors, and guide the commission review of art projects to enhance equity in the arts.
In my role, I define the public art roadmap, taking policies into account while serving as a spokesperson for media and public events. I specialize in contemporary art projects, commissions, and programming, with expertise spanning the profit, nonprofit, and government sectors. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts from California State University Northridge and a Master of Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.”
