West Palm Beach, FL – On August 31st, 2022 the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County joined the Broward County Black Chamber of Commerce and the Miami-Dade County Chamber of Commerce in celebrating its first National Black Business Month Tri-County Black Chamber Reception & Awards Ceremony.
The National Black Business Month joint event was powered by Fiserv, who awarded three South Florida black-owned businesses with a $10K #BackTo Business Grant, including Palm Beach County member Allison Boettcher, Owner of Blue Mountain Coffee House. Since 2020, more than 1,500 Black and minority-owned small businesses across the U.S. and U.K. received grants and support to keep serving their communities.
Palm Beach County’s Black Chamber president Grasford Smith said, “We enjoyed the Tri-County mixer very proud to lead the chamber we had a great time and we’re going to do many more of these joint events.”
The Black Chamber Tri-County event took place in the Historic Sistrunk – “The Heart and Soul of the City” in Fort Lauderdale’s oldest African American community to celebrate the contributions of black business owners.
The event’s transportation sponsor was BrightLine, who transported the members of the Palm Beach and Miami chambers to the event safely.
The chamber seeks to grow black businesses in Palm Beach County. Past and current chamber programming includes networking events, Business Before Hours breakfasts, Business After Hours mixers, business forums, and more.
