Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County Celebrates Excellence at 13th Annual Ascension Awards

West Palm Beach, FL – February 24, 2025 – The Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County proudly hosted the 13th Annual Ascension Awards on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. This prestigious event honored Black-owned businesses, visionary leaders, and changemakers who have demonstrated excellence, resilience, and leadership in their respective fields.

Event Highlights:
🔹 Keynote Speaker: Andy Henriquez – Master Storyteller & Author, who delivered an inspiring keynote address emphasizing leadership, resilience, and the power of storytelling.
🔹 Mistress of Ceremonies: Tania Rogers – WPTV NewsChannel 5 Anchor, who skillfully guided the evening’s program with professionalism and elegance.
🔹 Master of Ceremonies: Chris B. Williams – Author & Motivational Speaker, who brought energy and charisma to the celebration.



🔹 Live Entertainment: The event featured an outstanding performance by The King’s Academy Quartet Band, setting a sophisticated and celebratory tone for the evening.
🔹 Award Presentations: Honoring Black excellence across various categories, recognizing the achievements of business leaders, professionals, and organizations making a profound impact in Palm Beach County.

🏆 Dicky Sykes Social Justice Advocate Award: Dr. Debra L. Robinson
🏆 President’s Award: Senator Bobby Powell, honored for his unwavering dedication to leadership and community service.


🔹 Board of Directors Swearing-In: The Chamber welcomed its new Board of Directors, dedicated to advancing economic empowerment and advocacy for Black-owned businesses.
🔹 Gala Dinner & Networking: A beautifully curated dining experience, fostering meaningful connections among business leaders, community advocates, and corporate partners.

Acknowledgments & Event Production:
The evening’s success was made possible through the expert production of Sophisticated Out Loud (SOL), ensuring a seamless, elegant, and memorable experience for all attendees. The Chamber Team and dedicated volunteers also played a vital role in executing this spectacular event.
