The Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County Receives MLKCC Economic Empowerment Award

Palm Beach County, FL – January 20, 2025 – The Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County is proud to announce its recognition with the prestigious Economic Empowerment Award from the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Coordinating Committee (MLKCC). This honor was presented during the 44th Annual MLK Breakfast, held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, in celebration of the legacy of Dr. King and the theme “Moving Forward in Love, Peace, and Justice.”

This recognition highlights the Chamber’s unwavering commitment to advancing economic opportunities for Black-owned businesses and fostering a thriving business community. Through advocacy, education, and resources, the Chamber has worked tirelessly to empower entrepreneurs and promote sustainable economic growth in Palm Beach County.

The event also celebrated other distinguished honorees, including Black elected officials who were awarded the Civil Justice Award for their commitment to fairness and equality. The breakfast highlighted the incredible talent of Palm Beach County’s youth through outstanding performances in Oratorical Arts, Visual Arts, and Essays, showcasing the next generation’s vision for justice and unity.

The Black Chamber of Commerce expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Coordinating Committee for this honor and extends congratulations to all the honorees recognized during this memorable event.
