Unveiling Success: Recap of the 2nd Annual National Black Business Month Tri-County Black Chamber Reception
The collaborative spirit of South Florida’s Black business community was on full display at the highly anticipated 2nd Annual Tri-County Black Chamber Reception, an event dedicated to celebrating National Black Business Month. On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community advocates gathered in Palm Beach County for an evening that emphasized the power of networking, collaboration, and recognition.
The program kicked off with a lively period of networking, where attendees from the Broward Black Chamber of Commerce, Miami Dade County Chamber of Commerce, and the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County mingled and exchanged ideas. This unique opportunity allowed participants to forge valuable connections across the region and learn about the remarkable initiatives undertaken by these chambers.
Joseph Sanches, President of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, welcomed the attendees and introduced the event’s Title Sponsor, NextEra Energy/Florida Power Light. Cassandra Gerst-Charles, Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Program Manager at NextEra Energy shared insightful remarks highlighting the company’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity within the business landscape.
Shaheewa Jarrett Gelin, Esq., President of the Broward Black Chamber of Commerce, took the stage to extend a warm welcome to all present. G. Eric Knowles, President & CEO of the Miami Dade County Chamber of Commerce, echoed the sentiment, underlining the importance of cross-chamber collaboration and its potential to drive positive change in the community.
