All applications that are submitted will be reviewed for selection. There are limited exhibitor tables and unfortunately, not all applicants will be accepted. Once the review process is complete, if you are selected, an email will be sent with next steps.

We invite both individuals and organizations to join us as we pursue Dr. King’s dream of equity, particularly in the areas of health and economics, in one of the most diverse athletic events in Palm Beach County. The event has something for nearly everyone including kids races, a 1-Mile Fun Run, and chip-timed 5K and 10K races. We also have opportunities for teams to win prizes for bringing the most participants and/or the most spirit, to the event.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be used to offset the costs for participants seeking to improve their health, but are not able to full cost of registration. Net proceeds also help provide educational programs as well as other resources to small minority-owned businesses in Palm Beach County through the efforts of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and the Equity Entrepreneur Center.

Why This Event Matters

There is no question that health disparities and economic disparities are highly correlated, and both have been made worse by the recent pandemic.

One Federal Reserve Bank report indicated a 41% decrease of Black business ownership during the pandemic; the largest decline of all racial groups.
White males live approximately 7 years longer than African American males, and White females live more than 5 years longer than Black females.
Historically fewer than 2% of adult runners, triathletes, cyclists and swimmers are African American due to issues of safety, cost, time and other factors.
The infant mortality rate for African Americans is almost double the national average.
