The Palm Beach Post’s Season to Share Program gives our readers an opportunity to help people in our community in need. Last year, our readers donated over $711,000 to our Season to Share giving campaign. The money helped struggling families and the organizations in our community that serve them.
Once again, we need your help to make this year’s campaign successful. This opportunity is open to all good-standing 501c3 organizations in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
Please nominate a special family/individual who is in need. They should have a specific need related to the program and services your organization provides.
The Season to Share Board Selection Committee will select up to 10 nominees. Limit: 1 nominee submission per organization. The nominees selected must be willing to use their name, be willing to be photographed and be willing to have both published in the Palm Beach Post. In-depth background checks will be conducted on the nominee and anyone living in the nominee’s home. The selected nominees will be featured in The Palm Beach Post in November.
In addition to the feature stories, we will be listing the name and address of your organization, so readers who may want to donate goods, instead of cash, can work directly with you. If your organization’s nominee is selected, please be prepared to work with direct donors. Please let your nominees know that many needs may be met through readers’ donations of gently used items. We will need a very accurate accounting of any donations you receive at the end of the program.
The Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties is our financial partner. They will process the donations and, through our advisement, will send out the allocation checks to the organizations.
Thanks to the generosity of our readers, the program is successful enough to raise a great deal of money – oftentimes, it is more than enough to meet the needs of a particular nominee. When that occurs, it is our intention that other families in need will receive assistance. Any remaining money may be divided among nominating organizations or other giving programs at our Board’s discretion.
Please complete and return the Nomination Form, (with signatures) by 12:00 noon, Friday, October 14. 2022, to email@example.com. There is no need to submit a duplicate paper nomination form.
