RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PALM BEACH COUNTY 1 MILL PLAN
WHEREAS, Strong schools make strong communities in Palm Beach County; and
WHEREAS, to continue funding over 750 existing Art, Music, PE, Health, Choice and Career education teachers while ensuring there is no impact to current existing teaching staff levels; and
WHEREAS, to continue to improve school safety by maintaining additional certified law enforcement officers and school safety equipment; and
WHEREAS, to maintain mental health professionals, school counselors, social workers, and psychologists in schools to support the social and emotional well-being of students; and
WHEREAS, to retain experienced teachers in the classroom and improve teacher pay; and
WHEREAS, funding for these programs in the School District of Palm Beach County is through the continuation of the 1 mill referendum on the November 2022 ballot.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County endorses the School District of Palm Beach County 1 Mill Plan.
